Work / Life Balance

 

The key to achieving challenging and fulfilling work goals whilst living a rich and satisfying life is balance. Stress can result when there is an imbalance between these key parts of our lives, when we see work and life as two distinct areas in competition as opposed to a whole working in harmony. thrive’s interventions with organisations and individual employees are designed to assist in developing skills and strategies that will manage stress, raise energy levels and establish positive links between work and life goals.
 

While all Work/Life Balance interventions are tailored to the unique needs of each organisation, there are common elements which include:
• Assisting in clearly identifying individual stressors, and the effects on both physical and mental levels.
• Recognising early warning signals.
• Developing an understanding of the need for a pro-active approach to maintaining well-being, rather than simply responding to stress when it occurs.
• Being aware that being relaxed is totally compatible with being effective, focused and productive.

Programmes (adaptable both in length and content to suit the needs of each organisation) consists of the following primary elements:
• Evaluation of individual stress levels and identification of stressors.
• Visualisation / Meditation exercises for physical and mental well-being.
• Breathing exercises and stretching that can be used in the workplace.
• Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to anchor the pro-active approach in our subconscious.
• Self-massage to relax and energise.
• Lifestyle and dietary advice.
• Practical tips for quick release of stress.
