In the workplace, successful implementation of equality and diversity policies and practices contributes to ensuring that staff, management as well as customers and clients feel valued, motivated and treated fairly. Such policies are designed to enhance the workplace and ensure that it provides for equal opportunities for all current, future and potential staff and where their dignity is protected and respected at all times.
We work with organisations to develop policies that suit their unique needs and design customised workshops to assist in communicating policy responsibilities to staff and management. While legislative responsibilities are central to these workshops, research indicates that showing respect must come from the heart and not as a fear of legislation. This is reflected in how we approach these workshops, which are participative and provide participants with the opportunity to examine their own attitudes and behaviour, become familiar with company policy and prepare a strategy for contributing to creating a respectful work environment.
